Fall 1996
|
Southwest Christian High School began in rented space in Minnetonka with 36 9th and 10th graders. |
June 1999
|
First Commencement exercises with 7 graduates |
Fall 1999
|
SWCHS moves to Eden Prairie AOG Church, with 125 students. The All-School Choir was formed and sung the Hallelujah Chorus. The first musical was performed.

Fall 2000
|
SWCHS moves to the former Nordic Track headquarters in Chaska. Hundreds of volunteers renovate the building into a school. During the build-out, students had classes at the community center.

2000-2001
|
The athletic program makes great strides with 2 third-place finishes, 3 fourth-place finishes, 1 consolation championship, and 19 athletes selected to all-conference teams. |
2001
|
Chaska extends the conditional-use building permit to the end of the '09-'10 school year. |
2005
|
SWCHS starts making plans to secure property for a permanent location. A downturn in the economy slows the process. |
Fall 2008
|
First athletic team participates in a Class A state tournament; the girls' volleyball team takes home the Consolation Championship. |
Spring 2009
|
Two SWCHS graduates are accepted to military academies. |
Spring 2010
|
The new FIRST Robotics team wins the Rookie All-Star Award in the regional competition and goes to the national competition in Atlanta. |
2011
|
SWCHS purchases 29 acres of farmland off Hwy 212 and Bavaria Rd. Construction begins in July of 2011. |
Fall 2012
|
Construction is completed of a new 63,000 sq. ft. campus and athletic fields. 187 students begin school at the Bavaria Road campus. |
