Southwest Christian High School... ...puts the Bible and Christian values in the primary place. Through a thorough integration of biblical worldview into every subject, and through Bible classes, chapels, and discipleship groups, SW endeavors to do just that. ...offers a rigorous, college-prep academic program. Southwest's class offerings emphasize six core areas: English, history, Bible, math, science, and foreign languages, with supportive electives in other fields (see course listing.) 98% of our graduates matriculate to colleges and universities across the U.S. and Southwest students' ACT scores are consistently above the state average (2011-2012 composite score was 24.0; state composite score was 22.8).* ...emphasizes fine arts. Two outstanding choral groups and a wind ensemble, which are trained in varied musical styles from classical to pop, and a creative art and photography program, enrich the SW experience. ...engages students in sports. About 75% of the student body participates in soccer, cross-country, girls volleyball, basketball, track, golf, boys baseball, and girls softball. Co-op opportunities with other local schools include girls and boys tennis, football, wrestling, and synchronized swimming. SW also has an Equestrian Club and is starting a Dance Line team in 2012-2013.
